Coming hot off the heels of the new Michelin Guide ranking are a ton of new restaurant openings – some of which we’ve discussed before, and others that are new. We don’t know about you, but we’ve definitely got an appetite for new eats, so we’ll get right to it. Here are 10 new restaurants & bars to check out in Metro Vancouver this fall.

To Live For Cafe

An iconic Vancouver pop-up and vegan staple, To Live For has finally secured a spot for its own bakery cafe in East Van. In other words, Erin Ireland’s famous banana bread will finally have a permanent home, and it won’t be long now until you can enjoy some in the brand new space. Enjoy the season of pumpkin spice via their curbside pick-up menu in the meantime.

When: Opening date in early November
Where: 1508 Nanaimo Street

Turquoise Goat

This one’s a fun one.  If you’ve still got a Storm Crow-shaped hole in your heart from where the iconic nerd bar used to be – a brand new board game cafe is launching in Vancouver in early November, and it looks like they’ll have a ton of unique & rare games to choose from. The new cafe & hang-out spot will be open from 11 am to 11 pm from Monday to Thursday (except for Tuesday) and will be open late on Fridays and Saturdays (closing at 2 am).

When: Soft opening on November 5th

Par-Tee Putt Vancouver

With 18 themed holes, Toronto’s smash hit Par-Tee Putt has officially launched in Vancouver, offering guests a nostalgic, quirky indoor space to putt and drink with friends. If you’re feeling down in the dumps over Keefer Yard closing, consider heading here for a couple of rounds & happy hour deals.

Chop Steakhouse & Bar

Attention steak lovers! Vancouver International Airport just got a tasty new addition to the steakhouse game. Chop Steakhouse & Bar is already a powerhouse of a restaurant with locations across Canada, serving up everything from filling salads & power bowls to Chili Garlic Shrimp. And in terms of tasty drinks to pair with your meal, we’re eyeing the sparkling sangria and the Tony Mendez.

Hazukido is a bakery concept bringing together two of the world’s most delicious cuisines: French and Japanese. And while you might not necessarily think of croissants when you think of Japan, you definitely will now. The cherry on top? The dessert shop’s first outpost in Western Canada is opening right here in Vancouver this weekend.

When: Opening on Saturday, October 29th, Sunday, October 30th, and Monday, October 31st

St. Louis Bar & Grill

St. Louis Bar & Grill is officially launching its first-ever BC location on none other than Halloween (Monday, October 31st). Best of all? The Canadian chain is offering half-priced wings until November 13th!

And if you’re one of the first 10 people inside the new 2,600 square-foot location in Port Coquitlam on opening day, you’ll receive free wings for a year. Talk about a ‘devilishly good’ deal.

Courtside Bar 

While it’s unclear exactly when Main Street will get the new Courtside Bar addition, one thing is clear. The new watering hole certainly live up to its name as a basketball bar – and who knows, they might just have their own hoop where folks can work up an appetite for some solid eats & drinks. Sweet Revenge Bakery & Cafe 

Sweet Revenge, AKA, Maria Gelato’s sister store, is opening in Surrey this fall. And while the date hasn’t been set yet, it looks like the bakery-cafe is near completion, which means we’ll all hopefully be sipping espresso and indulging in vegan treats and gelato sooner rather than later.

Yup, you heard it here, folks. Rewind Beer Co is officially open on Port Moody’s Brewers Row, and if you’re a fan of throwback nights or decade-inspired drinks – this is the place for you.

Bonus: Novella Coffee Bar 

After almost a year of build-up, Novella Coffee Bar is finally set to open in Mount Pleasant this November. Coming from the folks behind the acclaimed Published on Main, Novella is a multi-concept cafe, grocery store, and hangout spot. Think along the lines of other Vancouver greats like Le Marché St. George and Aperture. In addition to their own creations, guests can expect to sip on coffee roasted by House of Funk Roasting and treats from Butterboom Bakery.
