weird online

Who doesn’t love a little online shopping? We know we do. But every so often we stray from the usual retail sites and check out some of the more off-the-beaten-path places. You never know what crazy crap you can find on Craigslist or Kijiji. And sometimes the offers on there are just downright strange.

Here are the weirdest things we found for sale on the Internet in Toronto right now. We’re sorry in advance…

Okay, as far as weird stuff online goes, this one’s pretty tame. And if you’re in the middle of a renovation or art project, maybe it’ll actually be helpful! On Craigslist right now you can pick up a big ole pile of bricks. Yup. Just a pile of bricks. 600 of them, to be exact. We’ve got a feeling they won’t be willing to ship these to you, given that mail can get pricey once it goes up in weight. But you can pick up the massive pile if you’re interested!

Guess the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” really is true. Cause we can’t imagine what use someone could have for this listing. Right now on Craigslist, you can become the owner of your very own dirty, old, used, gas pump. Wooohoo. Cue the sad confetti and celebratory balloons. We guess we could see the value in the vintage aspect of it all. People love vintage stuff, right? But the fact that it’s advertised as “dirty” just seems odd to us.

Okay, this listing is actually a service that you can find on Kijiji. Got some revenge you wanna take on someone? Perhaps an ex that wronged you or a former horrible boss? Just hired this spell caster to put a curse on them! Now, we’re not really big believers in witchcraft and all that jazz. But hey, this could be up some of your alleys. No judgment here.

Speaking of spooky, you can head to Etsy to pick up your very own haunted doll. This porcelain doll is advertised as “as evil as can be.” In fact, the description even goes so far as to call it “the devil in disguise.” When you purchase this doll, you can expect to experience “loud screams, doors slamming, creepy laughter (…), and lights will either flicker or blow out.” Alright. We’ll let you check this one out and see for yourself.

Alright, this one could actually come in handy if you’ve got a move in the future. You can pick up 8 massive bags of pink styrofoam packing chips today on Craigslist. They’re only $10 a bag, or $70 for all 8. So woohoo, great prices all around. And if you’re not moving soon, this would basically be purchasing 8 full bags of garbage. So do with that what you will.

Happy shopping, everyone!
