This Toronto-born ramen shop is making international waves

Via Curiocity Toronto

Some of the best ramen in Toronto came here from, well, Japan. We’re all for it, but we’re pretty stoked that this ramen joint was founded right here in Toronto. Sansotei Ramen has been perfecting their craft since 2012, and it’s all been happening from right here.

Ramen is one of our favourite winter foods. Cold day, warm soup, it just hits the spot. There are a million great ramen restaurants in the city, but this one made it to the top of our list without any international accolades. Just Toronto pride and dang good broth!

The team here works very hard, and their expansion through North America and Asia is proof of that. The bowls come out speedy fast, and the prices are totally reasonable. That’s big in ramen- the efficiency and the cost are debatably the two most important things besides the taste.

The taste, BTW, is incredible. We’re big on the tonkatsu black, which is 10/10 savoury. Black garlic oil just does something to our souls. Also, not to be dramatic, but we’d die for those perfectly boiled eggs.

The Union Station location is brand-spanking new, and you can be one of the first to visit during their soft open. No fear if you’re not in the area, though! They’ve got locations throughout the GTA.

What are you waiting for? Stop by the new Union location, or get out to the nearest one. Maybe try ’em all to see which is the best. Yeah, that’s a good reason!

Go grab a bowl!
