Happy Hour of the Week: Magic hour cocktails at Luma

Via Luma

Time for the jazziest hour of the week! It’s the Curiocity Toronto Happy Hour of the Week, happy hour pals. This week we’ve got a heck of a cocktail deal for you with a fun little extra on the side. We’ve also got a really good looking picture of carbonara, so stay for that if nothing else. It’s gorgeous.

Welcome to Luma! This ocean far-forward spot has all the swank of a fancy resto at first glance. However, there’s some real fun happening over at the bar. Come along, we’ll show you.

The Happy Hour

Happy hour at Luma is called Magic Hour. The first time we came we thought it was magic tricks time, and we LOVE magic tricks time. Long story short, the bunny we pulled from the hat got loose and it was a bit of a scene. Sorry, guys. It’s happy hour, but more magical. No tricks.

Magic hour runs Monday- Saturday from 4 PM to 9 PM. That’s right, a happy hour at the times you actually want to be drinking at! Rather than all this “happy hour for 60 minutes in the middle of your workday” nonsense, you can totally take advantage of this one.

Firstly, you can snag $6 martinis and Manhattans in the bar. Not into the hard stuff? Wuss. Kidding, you can enjoy pints of Grolsch for $6 as well.

Also, they’ve got a buck-a-shuck deal on Tuesdays and Fridays after 4 PM. The stipulation is you have to purchase a bottle of wine. Fine, twist our rubber arm!

(Time for egg yolk envy)

These aren’t basic martinis. These are ~special~ martinis. In fact, options range from pineapple gin to lychee cactus pear.

Additionally, you can sip on three kinds of Manhattan. We’ve got Muskoka chai, brown sugar, and maple black walnut.

Alrighty, let’s spice up your week with some dang good, non-basic $6 cocktails. We love magic hour! We miss our magic trick bunny. Wonder how that little guy’s doing. Oh well.
