Go to a JAWS screening on the water this summer (if you dare)
How brave are you? Cross Yonge without looking brave? Submit your essay without proofreading brave? Swipe right without creeping his Insta first brave? That’s impressive, but not quite as bold as watching Jaws from the relative unsafety of a floatie. The Jaws on the water movie screening is coming to the GTA courtesy of Interactive Flick… As interactive as a little serrated tooth tickle on your toes mid-scene?
This is a movie night unlike any other, where you can float, paddleboard, canoe, raft, or whatever else you like. Varsity swimmers are going to flex and tread water until the 3rd shark kill, and then they’ll be begging you to let them on the raft. Go all Titanic, sorry there’s no room Jack. You’re at the mercy of the sharks, Jack.
The event will feature a 40-foot movie screen, HQ sound and lighting, food trucks, fire pits, and games! Also, if you don’t have a floatie on hand, you can borrow a tube from them for max water comfort. As max as it can get with the whole killer shark vibe…
No need to be nervous, there’s no sharks here! Wink wink, nudge nudge. We’ll be cruising underwater with a strap-on dorsal fin nibbling feet. Good luck, pals.
