Call in sick on Monday: the NBA championship parade details are out

Do not remain calm, people. Our dear solo Canadian team just took home the NBA championship, and Toronto is ready to party all weekend long. However, make sure you stock some electrolytes and squeeze in a power nap somewhere (right on the ground at Jurassic Park?). The NBA Championship Parade details were just released, and you’re going to want to play hooky on Monday!

The parade will begin at 10 AM at Exhibition Place, along Lakeshore to York. then York to University, then University north to Armoury. Finally, it’ll land at Nathan Phillips Square.

We expect to see you fully decked out and wilder on a Monday than you’ve ever been. Our team made history, so we plan to make history for how dead we are on Tuesday. Worth it!

Just FYI, you won’t be a-drivin on the following roads due to closures:

  • Armoury St. closed from University Ave. to Chestnut St.
  • Lake Shore Blvd. W. closed from British Columbia Rd. to York St.
  • University Ave. closed from Front St. W. to Dundas St. W.
  • York St. closed from Lake Shore Blvd. W. to Front St. W.

Get ready to dive into a sea of red (that sounds kinda terrifying) and get in on the biggest sports celebration the city’s seen in ages. It’s going to be absolutely insane, so you’d better not be in your cubicle.

See you out there!
