In the past week, we’ve seen countless corporate retailer leaders rise to the occasion to help staff affected by COVID-19. And today, a Vancouver icon is doing the same. Lululemon has announced a Global Relief Fund during COVID-19.

This $2 million fund will support store ambassadors who may need financial assistance due to the pandemic. This decision came from the realization that store ambassadors are the lifeblood and leaders of the company and sweat life branding. Similarly, many of them own and operate studios.

However, this fund is not granted to every store ambassador. Rather, ambassadors can apply for the fund online and will be approved by company representatives on a case by case basis. But basically, if a store ambassador is facing serious hardships caused by COVID-19 related loss of business, they’re in the clear.

And if you’d like to support your local lulu store ambassador, consider reaching out and asking how you can. Some ideas include purchasing classes to use in the future or simply offering emotional support.

And if you’re planning on getting stretchy at home and need some new gear, Lululemon is still operating online.
