Soccer fans have quite the face-off to look forward to in Vancouver this summer. The city’s very own Whitecaps FC will be up against Wrexham AFC – AKA the world’s third-oldest professional football club, now owned by Vancouver-born actor and business mogul, Ryan Reynolds.

To say that the game is mixing the best of both worlds of professional football is an understatement!

On Thursday, April 25th, the actor took to Instagram to share the news of his team’s ‘Wrex Coast Tour’ alongside co-chairman Rob McElhenney.

“You can watch Wrexham AFC play games up and down the west coast of the U.S. and Canada,” says Reynolds. He then goes on to joke about how tickets will go so quickly, that even he and McElhenney may not get a seat.

As of the morning of April 25th, pre-sale access for the Whitecaps vs Wrexham game is now live via Ticketmaster, where those interested can wait until noon PST for GA tickets to drop.

The game will take place on Saturday, July 27th at 4:30 pm at BC Place.

While we’re sure Reynolds will be rooting for his own team throughout the tour, we can’t help but think that the actor might be secretly cheering for the ‘Caps.
