So let’s dive right in: Here are the ‘coolest’ streets in the world, according to Time Out:

  1. High Street, Melbourne
  2. Hollywood Road, Hong Kong
  3. East Eleventh, Austin
  4. Guatemala Street, Buenos Aires
  5. Commerical Drive, Vancouver
  6. Jalan Petaling, Kuala Lumpur
  7. Rua da Boavista, Lisbon
  8. Arnaldo Quintela, Rio de Janeiro
  9. Chazawa-dori, Tokyo
  10. Consell de Cent, Barcelona

Listed at #5, Commercial Drive is recognized for staying “defiantly ungentrified,” rejecting big chains like McDonalds and Starbucks and opting to house one-of-a-kind mom-and-pop shops. Among them are a family-owned bowling alley, no fewer than four used bookstores and three record stores, and more pizza-by-the-slice spots than you may realize.

Another Canadian street was at 27, and it was Saint-Hubert Plaza in Montreal.

And that’s a wrap on some of the coolest streets in the world. Which street are you visiting next??
