Nando’s has become the latest brand to take a dip in the waters of generosity during these trying times. Well, it’s more like they dove straight into the deep end. From free meals to volunteer efforts to various donations, Nando’s honestly just put their money where their mouth would have been, but this announcement came out of the blue.

Ok, let’s work through what’s going on. First off, Nando’s will be providing catered meals to hospitals near their locations throughout North America. Plus, they’re offering free takeout meals for any medical workers who want them, at any location.

They’re also allocating 50 free meals per day to members of the service industry who have been laid off due to COVID-19. Also, free meals for the families of Nando’s employees and any surplus food, packaged or otherwise, will be donated to food banks.

Weirdly, it’s a time like this when you see brands that are willing to step up to the plate, especially on a national scale. Check out the press release here.
