Craving hot pot? This new Vancouver restaurant is a must-try
Don’t panic, but there’s a new all you can eat hot pot and sushi restaurant in Vancouver! Say hello to Shin Ka Gyuu, the city’s latest addition to the Japanese food scene. Let’s take a closer look at this brand-new restaurant, specializing in sukiyaki cuisine.
If that word doesn’t ring a bell, sukiyaki is basically a version of Japanese hot pot, which is also called nabemono. Sukiyaki cuisine is characterized by being prepared at the table, often using beef and assorted vegetables. Meanwhile, the broth is often made with a combination of soy sauce, sugar and mirin.
But, that’s not all that’s going on here! As an added bonus, they’ve also got all you can eat options for aburi sushi. You may have heard the word aburi before, since Vancouver sushi spot Miku is practically famous for it. Anyway, it’s a type of pressed, flame-grilled sushi, and it’s delicious.
If you were looking for dinner plans this weekend, you just found them.
