Really be one with nature at this next getaway pick. Just an hour outside of Toronto, you can live amongst the trees in this gorgeous forest treehouse. The beautiful little house sits on 300 acres of private property (yes, 300 acres!!) There are multiple ponds for swimming, hiking trails, mountain bike areas, and more right at your fingertips! It’s definitely a great place to spend the weekend.

Of course, we can’t talk about fall and not mention a few of our favourite pumpkin patches. It’s basically a right of passage for Torontonians to take a yearly Insta pic surrounded by bright orange pumpkins. Although a ton of usual spots are shut down cause of COVID-19 this year, there are still a few lovely little patches to explore. So get out there and take that fall picture. It wouldn’t be autumn without it.

THE WOOD HOUSE IN MUSKOKA

Head up to Muskoka for the ultimate cozy fall weekend near Toronto. This gorgeous pine cottage sits on a whopping 2 acres of surrounding nature. You can sip hot cocoa by the wood-burning fireplace or go exploring in the nearby forestry. You’ll find tons of gorgeous wildlife species on your hike, plus, you’ll get to fully immerse yourself in the colours of fall.

While you’re in Muskoka, be sure to take a trip on the Heritage Train. This beautiful antique railway will take you on a sprawling tour through all the best autumn sites in the area. Watch out your window at the gorgeous fall colours whipping by as you travel toward South Portage and Lake of Bays.
