A stunning rooftop bar is opening at the new W Toronto hotel next week

One of Toronto’s most highly-anticipated new hotels is about to open its doors along with its exciting rooftop destination. SKYLIGHT at W Toronto is described as an “enchanting rooftop hideaway” and it will be accepting reservations starting next week.

“As the sun sets, SKYLIGHT casts its spell on the city with a late-night scene that dazzles with alluring cocktails and Mediterranean-inspired raw bar and mezze,” said the hotel on social media.

“The indoor-outdoor boho oasis overlooks Toronto’s iconic Bloor Street, bringing back to life the provocative and artistic spirit of the hippie revolution in Yorkville during the 60s, where love and nonconformity are celebrated.”

Renderings of the new bar show that it will be a half-indoor, half-outdoor space, with lots of greenery, plush seating in a variety of colours, hightop tables outside, and boho decor.

 You can make a reservation for SKYLIGHT as early as Thursday, July 21, which is also the date that W Toronto officially opens to the public.

With its opening will come a new “socially-charged hub” for the city, along with 254 rooms in Yorkville.

The hotel says that its design of public spaces “will reflect Toronto’s brutalist architecture, graffiti art, grid-like sprawl, green spaces, and theatre and music culture.”

In addition to SKYLIGHT, a plant-forward restaurant and coffee shop will also open at the hotel. W Toronto will also feature a 3,300 square foot fitness facility and 4,600 square feet of event space.
