Cognac Cocktails

It’s time to ditch the boring ol’ mimosas and margs for a couple of crazy good Cognac cocktails. And Courvoisier has generously shared its custom cocktails recipes for The Gala and The French Twist— that were featured as part of its Courvoisier Brunch Series. Take a look…

The Gala: This is a satisfying, citrusy, bubbly delight that makes for a fresh, light and easy drink. Just what you need to elevate your brunch sesh with.

1 ¾ oz. Courvoisier® VS
4-5 parts sweetened citrus soda
A slice of fresh citrus

Build all ingredients over ice in a Highball glass and stir. Garnish with a slice of citrus and serve.

The French Twist: This is a refreshing, citrusy libation with strong hints of floral and a rich and complex flavour profile.

1 ¾ oz Courvoisier VSOP
½ oz. orange curacao or triple sec
¾ oz. simple syrup
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
3 oz. Fever-Tree® club soda

Build all ingredients except soda water over ice into a shaker, shake and strain over fresh crushed ice into a Double Old-Fashioned glass. Top with soda water and then garnish with a lemon twist.

Cognac Coffee

Spiked coffee and brunch are as inseparable as chocolate chips and cookies. And you can give your cuppa joe a fun French twist by adding 30 ml of Courvoisier Cognac into 150 ml of black coffee and some sugar. Top this with whipped cream, sprinkles and grated chocolate and your fancy coffee is ready to serve.

Cognac Syrup

What better way to level up your brunch game than to spike the most iconic brunch recipe, pancakes and syrup? Yes please! You can make Cognac syrup from scratch by boiling 1 part sugar, 2 parts Cognac and fresh orange zest in 1 cup of water. Or you can use regular syrup and mix it with some Courvoisier and voila!
