Here are five of the best pop-up events worth checking out around the city this season.

SHEIN Pop-up Event

 The affordable fashion brand that has taken the world by storm is hosting its first-ever pop-up in Canada this July and lucky for us, Toronto is the chosen destination.

The event will showcase SHEIN’s fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products for the summer season, plus collections for men, kids, pets, and home. There will also be on-site manicure stations, giveaways, and deals.

When: July 15-17, 2022, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Word on The Street Community Pop-up

 This late-summer pop-up is part of the Toronto Book and Magazine Festival and will be held this season at Evergreen Brickworks.

The event will feature author-led forest walks, a marketplace for books, and featured as well as a reading and discussion with environmentalist Maude Barlowfor her latest book, Still Hopeful: Lessons from a Lifetime of Activism.

Bar Coneja Patio Pop-up

 Bar Coneja is officially open for business for the season and it’s “a backyard barbecue concept that will whisk you away to 1970’s Southwest America.”

The restaurant has an outdoor woodfire grill and patio-only seating, and it will only be open for the summer. Expect a retro summer escape with a full kitchen located outside on the patio.

 If you’re hitting Kensington Market this summer, you can support local BIPOC small businesses at this new pop-up market. There’s a lot of products and services to check out at this event, including body and hair items, jewelry, crystals, divination readings, clothing, and more.

Leslieville Flea Night Market Pop-up

 Hunt for vintage treasures on the gorgeous grounds of Ashbridge Estate at this one-night-only flea market, in collaboration with the Leslieville Farmers Market.

Enjoy food, drink, activities, and music under the lights and summer night sky, along with incredible vintage and handcrafted flea vendors selling their goods.
