The Surrey Fusion Fest is back on and they just revealed their A-list headliners

Come July 23rd and 24th, Holland Park will turn into a giant canopy-covered paradise of art, culture, dance, music, fun, food and a lot more. You guessed it right, the Surrey Fusion Festival is here for its 15th annual appearance.

As always, the free-to-attend multicultural festival is bringing together the best of several different cultures from across the world. This seems like an apt move given that this year’s theme is ‘CommUNITY’ (Ha! We always love a good pun).

With an aim to bridge the gap between the many cultures that co-exist in the country, the festival features over 40 cultural pavilions. There will be four musical stages, two dance stages, a kid’s stage, dance lessons, workshops, dance battles, amusement rides and more to keep you entertained.

Then there is an Indigenous Village & marketplace where you can find mesmerizing art by local Indigenous artists and also learn more about Indigenous cultures.

And let’s not forget the massive multi-cuisine culinary spread that never fails to tickle our taste buds. In addition to the usual soul-satisfying delicacies, this year brings along the Cultural Cooking Arena where Surrey youth will compete in cooking competitions.

While the artistic and culinary expressions sure will be a delight, the highlight of the fest continues to be its super lit music scene. And this year’s line-up will be headlined by the iconic Canadian R&B duo, Manila Grey, hip-hop from Shad, one of Canada’s most revered rappers, popular Punjabi actor and singer, Sharry Mann and Surrey-based Punjabi artist, Zora Randhawa.

Other performers include familiar names like XL the Band, Babylung, Golosa La Orquesta, Balaklava Blues, Curtis Clearsky and the Constellationz, Sadé Awele and Serengeti, Mattmac, Yvonne Kushe and Luv Randhawa.
