It’s beginning to look a lot like December, at least based on our list of the best things to do in Seattle this month. While Christmas-themed events are at the forefront, there are a ton of ways to amuse yourself this holiday season. Check out a concert, go on a bar crawl, or hit up a night market.

GeekCraft Expo

“It’s like a mall for geeks!” Head down to this massive expo celebrating all things nerdy and pick out some fantastic Christmas presents. Heck, grab something for yourself while you’re there as well.

The Olympic Sculpture Park is turning into a winter wonderland. Are they going to put Christmas lights on major art pieces? We sure hope so, but we’re ready to go find out in person regardless.

Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl

Check in anytime and anywhere for the 14-hour long pub crawl taking place around Downtown Vancouver. Just raid your parents’ closet the day before and find the gnarlist 1980s sweater they’ve got.

Christmas Ship Festival

For over 7 decades, Argosy Cruises has been adding a little touch of wonder to Seattle and the surrounding areas. Hop on for a magical cruise combined with special entertainment midway through. Don’t want to deal with kids? There’s a 21+ follow boat, too.

This huge holiday festival took over T-Mobile and has set up shop for the rest of the holiday season. Check out a Christmas maze, go ice skating, and most importantly, enjoy a ton of holiday treats and drinks.

Lumaze Seattle

This massive holiday festival is bringing vendors, food and drinks, and a huge light installation to Seattle. Wander around the immersive installations, then find yourself a quirky gift for that quirky coworker.

It’s a massive New Year’s bash going down at MoPOP, and you can join in with 2000 other people. Explore the museum, then head to the Sky Church to dance the night away.

NYE Fireworks Cruise

Another option for celebrating New Year’s is this cruise. Not only do you get to feel suave as you ring in a new decade, you’ll also be treated to the best view of the New Year’s fireworks possible.

ScHoolboy Q

Kick December off properly by listening to one of rap’s most enduring names. What’s more, Q’s latest album, Crash Talk, might be his most complete yet.

Everyone’s favourite mau5 announced a fall tour this summer, and he’ll be swinging through Seattle next month. Maybe you like his old stuff, maybe you like his new stuff. No matter what, it’s a must-see concert for any of his fans.

Miracle on 2nd

This Christmas-themed pop-up at Rob Roy is the brainchild of one of the most respected bartenders in America. So, not only do you get to be intentionally kitschy, but the drinks will actually taste good, too.

The Seahawks have got three home games this month, so you’ve got options for what games to watch. We recommend checking out their final game of the season against the 49ers, but it’s up to you.
