There could have only been one city to inspire Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” and that city is of course Seattle. Our Emerald City loves to thrift, sift and find deals which is why PhinneyWood Garage Sale Day is a must this spring. Here’s what to expect.

On Saturday, May 21st you’ll be able to head to PhinneyWood from 9 am to 1 pm and wander the neighborhood’s wares. You might just find a one-of-a-kind treasure or if you live in the neighborhood you can use this as an opportunity to declutter. What’s more, there’s actually an app with a map that will guide you to registered garage sales so you don’t get lost.

Beyond garage sales, you’ll be able to check out the PhinneyWood Flea Market which is back for the first time in two years! Psst, it’ll be located in the PNA parking lot so be sure to stop by. At this time it is too late to officially register your sale for the event but some people do continue with unofficial sales.

You’ll also have the opportunity to recycle and dispose of items like batteries, styrofoam, small electronics, and more. So grab your friends and band together to sell your wares or simply enjoy a day of unique shopping. Who knows what you’ll find!
