If you’re looking to add more outdoor fitness classes to your routine, you may want to head to the Seattle Center starting this June.

Just like it did during the winter, The Seattle Center is hosting workout classes for the summer and here’s what to expect.

Fitness-focused Seattleites will be able to attend weekly Workout Wednesdays Winter Fitness Sessions presented by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health which are being hosted at Seattle Center. Classes will take place outdoors on the Seattle Center grounds, and will be on Wednesdays starting on June 19th, 2024.

Workout Wednesdays classes will run until August 21st this summer, and you will be able to check out Gentle Yoga or Zumba.

On Wednesdays at 5:30, Gentle Yoga will take place at the Exhibition Lawn and runs for an hour.

“This class is for everyone, no matter what age or fitness level. Utilize vinyasa style flows to cultivate space, physically and mentally, while easing into the body to release tension throughout. You’ll flow through a series of postures allowing the breath to guide you, offering time to rest, reassure, and retry various postures,” states the Seattle Center.

You are reminded to bring your own yoga mat or towel.

As for Zumba, that takes place from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Artists at Play Plaza.

This class is all about the energy, music, and having fun. You’re asked to bring water and wear comfortable sneakers.

Get ready for outdoor season, and free workouts!
