8 delicious new spots to discover in and around Vancouver this June

Vancouver’s food and beverage scene is everchanging, much like the weather. And the good news is that several new spots have popped up around town this month, with even more are on the way. From South Asian-inspired burgers to a summer pop-up at the Shipyards, to a few notable reopenings – here are 8 delicious new and returning restaurants you can check out in and around Vancouver.

Now open

Street Hawker

Now open on Main Street is Street Hawker, a delicious fusion of South Asian flavours and street food in burger form. If you’re ever craving a burger and shake but want to mix things up from your traditional patties and melts, this is a great option.

Note that this spot soft-launched over the long weekend and will officially reopen on Wednesday, May 24th, and will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Where: 308 Main Street

The Brewyard

A brand new collab between the Lonsdale Quay and seven breweries, a cidery, a distillery, and a winery in The Shipyards Brewery District have come together to form the ultimate pop-up patio: The Brewyard. The fun space will operate on weekends throughout the summer, with rotating taps and cocktails to give guests a chance to try every sip in the area!

Where: Lonsdale Quay

Jungle Room

Vancouver is no stranger to unique themed barsspeakeasies, and hidden gems. And now, a brand new cocktail experience has officially arrived in Davie Village. Inspired by the depths of a tropical jungle, Jungle Room will offer guests a slew of vibrant drinks and plates, surrounded by lush greenery.

Where: 961 Denman Street

The Wine Bar

And now, for a couple of iconic spots in the city that are returning after quite some time. They might not be entirely new, but there’s certainly a lot of anticipation surrounding their comebacks. First off, there’s The Wine Bar at Provence Marinaside, which is known for its giant selection of wines. Guests can sip on over 250 domestic and international wines total, including 125 sips by the glass.

Where: 1167 Marinaside Crescent

Opening soon

The Parker Rooftop

Opening just in time for summer is The Parker Rooftop, a soon-to-be hotspot for inventive eats and refreshing sips, all accompanied by sweeping views of the city from the ninth floor of The Parker Hotel (formerly Vintage Park Hotel). With 4,000 square feet of patio space and 20-foot-high ceilings, this date night spot has us excited for the summer.
