You can drink beer out of a massive pumpkin at this Seattle festival this month

Pumpkin carving is one thing but sipping beer out of a giant pumpkin is a whole other deal. If that sounds like an absolute blast to you, get excited because the 18th annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival is back and better than ever this September and October. Let’s get into some deets.

A giant, several-hundred-pound pumpkin is the centerpiece of this Seattle Center festival. The pumpkin in question is scooped, scorched, filled with pumpkin beer, sealed, conditioned, and then tapped at the fest for all to enjoy. It’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before and a great way to welcome in fall if you’re a beer lover.

Now not only will you be able to sip beer out of a massive pumpkin but you’ll also be able to enjoy over 80 pumpkin and seasonal beers from both near and far. It’s also worth mentioning that 20 of those beers come straight from Elysian so expect the best of the best. After all, what could be better than pumpkin beer?

Oh, what’s that? All 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Vera Project. Yep, this thirst-quenching festival helps keep one of Seattle’s OG youth-driven music and art venues alive. You don’t want to miss out on this super fun festival and if you want to grab tickets or learn more you can visit the festival’s website.
