Here’s a first look at Canada’s first Wingstop now open in Toronto (PHOTOS)

Listen up, foodies! A popular new chain has arrived in the north and you may recognize its menu items from some of your favourite rap songs. Wingstop has officially opened in Toronto and it’s the first of many locations to come.

Wingstop occupies the northeast corner of Runnymede and Bloor West, right in the heart of Bloor West Village.

The spacious restaurant opened its doors on June 29, attracting large crowds excited to experience the U.S. chain popularized by artists like Rick Ross and Drake.

Wingstop is known for its chef-curated menu of classic and boneless wings and crispy tenders, always cooked-to-order and hand sauced-and-tossed in fans’ choice of the brand’s 12 signature flavours, including sweet, savoury, and spicy varieties.

Inside the Toronto restaurant, you’ll find a large board that ranks each flavour from mild to spicy, so you know exactly what you’re in for.

There are also tons of mouthwatering sides to choose from. Among the most popular are the Loaded Voodoo Fries — fresh-cut fries drenched in cheese sauce, ranch and Cajun seasoning.

Wingstop has announced it will open three more restaurants in Toronto by the end of this year, followed by more locations in the GTA and other provinces.

A takeout and delivery-only location will open on Castlefield Ave, as well as a location on Danforth Ave and a flagship restaurant on Church St near the former Maple Leaf Gardens.

So it looks like we Canadians have a whole lot of chicken wings in our future and Toronto is the first to get a taste of what’s to come.
