Friday Flicks: Home Alone

Relive the glory days (and the glory lines) of Home Alone at Burnaby Public Library! They’ll be playing the 90’s hit for free, so grab a spot and practice your best Kevin McCallister impression. Buzz! Your girlfriend! WOOF!

St. Paul’s Lights of Hope

The annual tradition of holiday lights at St. Paul’s Hospital has returned. This huge glowing display is meant to attract attention and raise funds for sick kids in need, so get those pocketbooks out and donate to something that matters!
When: Now Till January 8th
Where: St. Paul’s Hospital – 1081 Burrard Street, Vancouver
Cost: Free, Donations Appreciated

English Bay Beach Cleanup & Christmas Social

It’s Surfrider’s last Beach Cleanup of 2018– so put on your best ugly Christmas sweater (ugliest wins a prize), grab your pals, and help preserve the Bay we know and love. Reusable gloves, buckets, and pickers will be provided, but it’s always helpful to bring your own!
Where: English Bay Beach– 1790 Beach Avenue (Meet at the seawall north of Cactus Club Cafe)

Fridays on Front Holiday Market

Our beloved Fridays on Front wrapped up in August, but it’s returning for a one-night holiday version this winter! On Friday, December 14, you can head under the parkade on Front Street to enjoy a selection of delicious local food and bevvies for purchase!

Vancouver Christmas Tree at Robson Square

The Christmas tree at Robson Square gives us major NYC vibes. This massive Christmas tree will be the star of the show, with live holiday music and tons of visits from Santa! Donate $5 for 5 bulbs to light the tree and support the Vancouver International Children’s Festival.
