The Austria Vancouver Club is celebrating Oktoberfest this Saturday, September 24th with feasting, dancing, and of course, drinking top-notch pilsners and lagers. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Vancouver’s Chinatown has some of the best eats in town. What’s even better is that most options are very affordable – and there are so many to choose from. Our recommendation? Start with Kam Wai Dim Sum or New Town Bakery. And if you want a drink or two to cap it off, head to Blnd Tger.

With ‘spooky season’ almost upon us, there’s no better time than now to check out some ghost towns around BC & learn about their interesting history. We say either because while some of these are just a stone’s throw from the city, others are downright impossible to get to (unless you’ve got some scuba gear handy).

The ‘haunted’ tram ride takes you through one of the most narrow passageways out there, where some visitors have reportedly seen/heard “mysterious voices, lurking shadows, and objects falling off shelves.” As if dropping from 950 feet in the air isn’t spooky enough!
