This is your weekly rundown of the city’s biggest and hottest updates. Here, you’ll find all the stuff you actually want to share in your group chat. Every week, we’re dishing out five must-know highlights of what’s going on in the city or stories you need to know about.

It’s true: the iconic houseware brand that left Canada back in 2023 is back. Bed Bath & Beyond is now owned and operated by Sleep Country Canada. For now, you can shop online and browse its selection, but physical stores are not yet in the program.
Apparently, the brand hopes to open them in late 2027, but that’s about all the information we have. At least we love online shopping!
Have you also been caught up in all the Legend of Zelda excitement? The remake of the N64 game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is dropping in November 2026, and its live-action movie is coming to theatres in April of next year. As a huge Nintendo fan, I am beyond excited. And now, Toronto is getting a special 40th anniversary concert of the iconic game; I can’t help but think this is Link’s year! IYKYK.
The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert is going on an international run, stopping in several major cities across the world. Toronto is one of them – and also the only city in Canada to get one, as far as we know. Ticket sales for the Toronto shows will soon be announced. Needless to say, I’m hyped!
Talk about a bummer! Okay, let’s be real: the chances of getting an early first snowfall will be different depending on where you live in Ontario. But according to recent weather models, some communities (looking at you, northern and central Ontario) could be weeks away from seeing their first snowfall.
But for us here in southern Ontario, there will be lots of time to enjoy the fall weather. However, in true Canadian fashion, the weather is unpredictable. The current El Niño pattern could very easily bring a milder winter, so who knows if we’ll even get a white Christmas… Now that sounds depressing.
Better World Fragrance House, a.k.a. the fragrance and lifestyle brand founded by Drake, is coming to Canada. And lucky for us, it’s launching two signature Eau de Parfums, Summer Mink and Cloudar, available exclusively at Sephora Canada starting Oct. 1, 2026.
Summer Mink is described as a “universal amber woody fragrance inspired by the beauty of juxtaposition.” Think warm, creamy notes with cool spices and sparkling citrus accords. As for Cloudar, it’s described as a “woody aromatic fragrance that plays between light and dark, softness and strength.” Think luminous freshness with a floral, smooth, addictive base.
All I know is that I need to get my hands on one!
Let’s cut to the chase: founder of Pov Beauty Mikayla Nogueira is coming to Toronto for an exclusive in-store meet-and-greet on Oct. 3, 2026. Guests who attend will have access to an exclusive gift-with-purchase offer, available in person at the event only. This is, of course, while supplies last and limited to one per person. It’s all going down from 2 to 4 p.m.
Lineup to access the event opens at 1 p.m. and will form on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s important to note that registration through Eventbrite does not confirm or guarantee a meeting with Nogueira. Attendees must be Sephora Beauty Insider members and should register using the email associated with their Beauty Insider account.
