We know we’re jumping the gun a bit – but the fall season is nearly upon us, and we want to give folks some options by way of pumpkin picking. While some farms that we’ve shared before are not able to open for the 2022 season due to poor weather conditions earlier in the year, there are still plenty of u-pick options to choose from. For now, enjoy some great apple u-pick options nearby and mark your calendars for late September and early October. Here are 8 pumpkin patches in Vancouver to get you started this season!
Southlands Heritage Farm

We have to start this list with one of our favourite local spots, Southlands Heritage Farm. This adorable little farm makes pumpkin picking easy and accessible. And they’ve got plenty of options when it comes to different varieties of U-Pick pumpkins to choose from.
When: Monday, October 3rd to Monday, October 31st
Where: 6767 Balaclava Street
Cost: $15 admission, includes 1 pumpkin (any size)
Richmond Country Farms Pumpkin Patch

Here’s another spot that’s still close to home. Richmond Country Farm takes picking pumpkins to the next level with live music and costumed characters. So if you want the full fall deal, be sure to check them out starting October 1st! Each ticket includes entry, a wagon ride, and 1 pumpkin. The farm is open from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays, and from 10 am to 4 pm on weekends.
When: Saturday, October 1st to Monday, October 31st
Where: 12900 Steveston Highway, Richmond
Cost: $12-$15 on weekdays, $15-18 on weekends

Aldor Acres Family Farm

We love this spot because they have 80 acres of farmland for you to experience. And this year they’re offering two options for pumpkin picking experiences. You can either walk through or drive-thru to select your perfect pumpkin. And either way, we think you’ll have a great time.

Hazelmore Pumpkin Patch at Gabriel Farms
Complete with a mini corn maze, a wagon ride through the patch, & spots to play with the farm animals, Gabriel Farms has you covered when it comes to all the fall festivities. Oh, and they’ve got a repurposed fire truck from the ’70s with a slide!
When: Open from Saturday, September 24th to Monday, October 31st

Petey’s Pumpkin Patch

The return of pumpkin season at Petey’s patch at Fantasy Farms in Chilliwack is slated to be a great one. Their pet-friendly patch has a covered train and wagon to check out, and a massive indoor space for more fall activities. Tickets are $12 a pop, and can be purchased at the gate.
When: Open from Saturday, October 1st to Monday, October 31st

Cost: $12 at the gate
Greendale Acres – Chilliwack Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

With a 12-acre dino-shaped corn maze, a hay bale maze indoors, a corn train, and a giant jumping pillow – it’s definitely worth it to check out Greendale Acres this time of year. They’re open every day except Monday, and admission is $16-$18 depending on whether you purchase tickets ahead of time online or at the door.

Port Kells Nurseries

From ornamental pumpkins to carving pumpkins, to ones that make for the best pies – Port Kells in Surrey has them all. Visitors can choose from thousands of hand-grown pumpkins of all sizes and colours this season. And they have handmade crafts at their gift shop if you’re looking for even more fall decor.
When: Open 7 days a week until Monday, October 31st

Willow View Farms

And finally, if you want a huge variety head to Willow View. Because they have over 50 varieties of pumpkins to choose from. And some of those varieties happen to be giant pumpkins. So if you want to go really big this year, do it here.

Open every day from 9 am to 6 pm, Maan Farms has a slew of exciting events happening during their fall 2022 season. From the pumpkin patch to a fairytale pumpkin house, to Abbotsford’s largest corn maze – there are plenty of fun activities to choose from. And in terms of eats, visitors can expect everything from pumpkin spiced ice cream, apple cider mini donuts, fresh pumpkin pie, and much more.
When: Open starting Saturday, September 17th
