For folks who don’t know, Oktoberfest is the largest German folk fest in the world and is celebrated in cities around the globe. The 16 to 18-day funfair typically runs from mid or late-September to the first Sunday in October, which means it’s the perfect time to share what’s going on in Vancouver by way of celebrations this year.

Without further ado, here are 5 ways to celebrate Oktoberfest in Vancouver in 2022.

Harvest Haus is back & better than ever this year, celebrating the seasonal bounty of autumn with tons of specialty German fare, including schnitzel, roast chicken, and a wide range of German, Czech, and Belgian brews. Whether you’re impartial to an old-fashioned pilsner or more of a radler person, there’s a beer (and a seat) for everyone at Harvest Haus. Plus, there will be live entertainment to set the scene.

Biermeister’s Dinner at CRAFT

CRAFT did not come to play when it comes to celebrating Oktoberfest. Not only are they offering a special Biermeister’s Dinner at their False Creek location on Wednesday, September 21st – but they’ve got an entire CRAFTOberfest Menu available from Tuesday, September 20th to October 3rd! The Biermeister’s Dinner features three courses of traditional Bavarian fare and four brews expertly paired by the folks at McClelland Premium Import.

As for the latter menu, CRAFT visitors can expect an array of eats, including bratwurst plates, Jägerschnitzel, and pretzel bites. And of course, flights of Bavarian beer to wash it all down.

Speaking of special menus, Brewhall has a special Oktoberfest-inspired menu coming your way as early as Wednesday, September 14th! Guests can expect everything from soft baked pretzels and currywurst to Oktoberfeasts and schnitzel burgers. And for drinks, they’re pouring a slew of rotating German beers, including Prost Helles Lager and Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier.

Oktoberfest at Austria Vancouver Club 

The Austria Vancouver Club is celebrating Oktoberfest with multiple celebrations over the next couple of weeks. And they all feature dinner & dancing! For just $45 a pop, you can enjoy an authentic Oktoberfest-inspired meal and enjoy live entertainment by Al Pichler & the Alpiners and The Silver Stars.

Oktoberfest at Trading Post Brewing

This one’s a bit of a trek, but any Oktoberfest enthusiast will tell you that top-notch bratwurst and traditional beer are well worth the extra effort. And the Langley Tasting Room at Trading Post Brewing has exactly that. Oh, and competitive pretzel tosses, live accordion music, and prizes for the best costumes to really bring the experience full circle.
