Renowned Toronto pastry chef’s new shop has the weekend treats of your dreams

A well-known Toronto chef is taking the pastry world by storm with her weekend-only shop on College St. Jill Barber, who has previously worked as a pastry chef for top spots like Paradise on Bloor and Blackbird Baking Co., is embarking on a solo journey. She’s bringing delicious baked goods to Torontonians all over.

So the spot is called Barbershop Patisserie and it’s nestled into the corner of College and Ossington. When you stop by, you’ll find an expansive selection of sweet treats, coffee, and tea. Some of the menu highlights include apple Chausson, lemon bichon, and savoury picks like sausage rolls and chicken pot hand pies.

Also, Barbershop Patisserie is only open every Friday through Sunday for takeout, so you’ll have to move quickly to get your hands on these. The place is fully owned and operated by Jill Barber herself, and she runs it from 11:00 AM until the goods sell out.

If you’d like to get your hands on these scrumptious eats, you can place a pre-order by emailing “barbershoppatisserie@gmail.com”. Or you can stop by for takeout in person and hope the rest of the city hasn’t scooped up all the goods before you get there.
