It looks like you won’t need to travel too far to enjoy a world-class honeymoon destination. Canada’s wine country has been named one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. Over 20 must-see places, here’s where Niagara-on-the-Lake is placed.
Trip Advisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards have been revealed and when it comes to Honeymoon Destinations in the world, only 25 spots were named winners.
According to the travel site, the “winners are destinations whose hotels, restaurants and things to do received a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from our community over a 12-month period.”
Out of the 8 million destinations listed, less than 1% are awarded Best of the Best.

If you’re planning your honeymoon but want to save some money on a trip, Niagara-on-the-Lake is a wonderful option – and a winner too.
“In Canada’s wine country, Niagara-on-the-Lake presents a well-preserved 19th-century village and its charms,” shares the site.
“Drive or bike through the area, stopping at wineries and Fort George National Historic Site. Ride along the Niagara Escarpment on horseback or book a white-water adventure at nearby Niagara Falls (you might have heard of them).”
It’s a romantic destination, especially during the warmer months and in the winter, a magical wonderland. And a top choice considering it landed in 18th place, right after Bora Bora.
