A new spa is opening in the heart of Ontario’s cottage country this spring and it’s unlike anything the world has seen before. The Muskoka BeerSpa combines relaxation and libation all in one place, with hot tubs, pools, saunas, cabanas, and of course, kegs and cans galore.

The spa, which is set to finally open on April 7th after nearly two years of delays, will welcome visitors for day visits and overnight stays at the on-site cabins.

“Nestled in a woodland wonderland, Muskoka BeerSpa is your place to detox, retox and relax,” the website says. Between trips to the beer garden, the massage cabanas and the outdoor hot baths, you’ll likely be feeling pretty rejuvenated and definitely a bit tipsy.

Guests will also have access to three restaurants, a forest beach, social cabanas and various “chill zones” complete with loungers, hammocks, and plenty of cold beer.

The BeerSpa will also host live concerts on the Brewery Stage, as well as organized group events including corporate retreats, milestone birthdays, and even weddings.

There are several cabins you can rent at the BeerSpa with one, two, and three bedrooms. The cabins come stocked with in-room beer taps, social campfires with firewood, a coffee and tea bar with pastries delivered, complimentary snacks and junk food, and an epic library of VCR movies to keep things old school.

The rates are pretty reasonable too from just $109 per adult per night on Fridays and Saturdays, and from $99 per night Sunday through Thursday.

For a day trip, all you’ll need to pack is a bathing suit, sandals, a reusable non-glass water bottle, and sun protection. Everything else, including spa towels and lockers, is available on site. You can reserve your visit in advance but walk-ins are welcome if there’s enough availability.

There are so many new spa destinations to check out around Ontario. A Finnish-inspired Nordic spa just opened this year and it’s a short drive from the BeerSpa. In Toronto, a wellness oasis with a 50-person sauna just opened in the downtown core. And this spring, we can look forward to the opening of the highly-anticipated spa village in Whitby.

Every excuse you could ever need to get your well-deserved R&R!
