Toronto’s restaurant scene keeps on getting recognized. This time around, four beloved spots have been added to the Michelin Guide in Toronto. Here’s what to know.

According to the Michelin Guide team, four new Toronto restaurants have been added to the list, which features a total of 21 Bib Gourmand restaurants.

Bib Gourmand ratings are given to restaurants that serve high-quality food and good price points, and the Michelin Green Star is given to restaurants that are involved in “sustainable gastronomy.”

As for who made the list, none other than BB’s, Sunnys Chinese, Tiflisi, and White Lily Diner, was added.

“We’re so excited to add BB’s, Sunnys Chinese, Tiflisi and White Lily Diner to the selection of Bib Gourmand restaurants in Toronto,” said Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of the MICHELIN Guides.

“The anonymous inspectors were quite impressed with the imaginative, delicious cuisine at these eateries, as well as the value and experience. We hope that local foodies as well as international travelers will enjoy these tasty gems we’re pleased to reveal.”

Back in August, Michelin Guide inspectors added 12 new hot spots to its list, however, it was not disclosed which restaurants received stars, Bib Gourmands, or other distinctions.

We will find out during Toronto’s Michelin Guide ceremony on September 27th.

Toronto was selected as the first Michelin Guide destination in Canada back in May 2022. It was the sixth chosen location in North America. Vancouver was chosen as the seventh destination in July 2022.

In September of 2022, the Michelin Guide announced that 74 restaurants made the inaugural Toronto selection, including 1 Two-Star restaurant, 12 One-Star restaurants, 17 Bib Gourmand restaurants, and 44 recommended restaurants.
