Did you actually check out our recent list of the best bookstores in Vancouver? First off- thank you. But maybe more importantly, you might be happy to know that the Vancouver Writers Fest is set to return to the city next week! After all, not much goes better with a rainy fall day than some great literature.

This year, the Vancouver Writers Fest has adopted a hybrid format, offering both in-person and virtual events to check out. Over 6 days, you’ll be able to enjoy artist talks, workshops, and even off-the-beaten-path events like a literary pub quiz or even a night of storytelling about ‘Evil Exes‘. On a budget? Don’t worry, because a significant number of these events are free or pay-what-you-can.

Meanwhile, the Writers Fest has also been hard at work bolstering their Youth Program. So, if you know someone young who always seems to have their head in a novel, this is a great opportunity for them to share that passion with like-minded people. After all, we don’t see too many teens flexing their latest book purchases on social media. But hey, maybe we’re just outta touch on that front.

Whatever the case, the Vancouver Writers Fest has been a local favourite for years now, and we are excited about its return to form! If you’re feeling the same, click the link below to check out the entire schedule.
