Here are 10 places with some of the best donuts in Seattle

In our books, there’s no better way to start your day than with a delicious pastry. One of our faves happens to be donuts so we thought what’s a better way to start this week than with a list of some of the best spots Seattle has to offer. Plus, national donut day happens to be coming up on June 4th.

Whether you want something plain, or something extravagant, Seattle’s donut shops have you covered. Here are 10 of the best donut spots in Seattle.

Mighty-O Donuts

Mighty-O is a local institution for donuts. What we love about them is that they bake organic goods and are vegan-friendly. Plus they have several locations around the city making them extremely accessible no matter where you are. And they have flavors that range from plain glazed to exciting flavors like french toast.

Where: Multiple locations
Hours: Varies

Dochi

If you want to get out of your donut comfort zone and try something new then we recommend Dochi. This ID spot serves up mochi-donuts that deliciously chewy and might just become your new favorite treat. You can snag flavors like ube, strawberry pocky, matcha smores, and more.

Where: 600 5th Ave S
Hours: Monday-Friday 11 am-5 pm, Saturday & Sunday 11 am-6 pm

Donut Factory

If you want to go all out with the perfect donut for your Instagram feed, Donut Factory is the spot for you. In fact, you’ve probably already seen their crazy donuts all over your feed if you’re into local foodie accounts. Try a Ferrero Rocher, Smore’s, Ube doughnut, and more.

Where: 4336 Roosevelt Way NE
Hours: Monday-Friday 5 am-9 pm, Saturday & Sunday 6:30 am-9 pm

Raised Doughnuts

We always love to see pop-ups succeed and Raised Doughnuts is a prime example of one that was so popular it became permanent. Right now they’re takeout only but it’s well worth checking out for the amazing flavors. Some of those flavors include tahini chocolate, nectarine, earl grey, and more.

Where: 1101 23rd Ave
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7 am-2 pm, Saturday & Sunday 9 am-2 pm

The Original Bakery

Want a real oldie but goodie? The Original Bakery is just that as they have been open and making donuts since 1936. You can enjoy classic donuts and a whole lot more baked goodness at this local family-owned spot. Don’t sleep on this one folks.

Where: 9253 45th Ave SW

Top Pot Doughnuts

Dare we say, THE spot for donuts? Top Pot has been at it a long time and is a local fave of many. They have over 40 different kinds of tasty baked goods and we can guarantee there’s something for everyone. In our books, it might even be as iconic as Starbucks (but better obviously).

Where: Multiple locations
Hours: Varies

Half and Half Doughnut Co.

On the topic of Top Pot, we have to talk about cofounder Michael Klebeck’s newer Cap Hill spot. Half and Half bakes its donuts using organic Pacific Northwest ingredients. Plus they have some seriously amazing rotating and limited-run flavors like market spice, Bimba caramelized pineapple, and more.

Where: 516 E Pike St
Hours: Monday-Thursday 6 am-2 pm, Friday-Sunday 6 am-3 pm

General Porpoise Coffee and Doughnuts

What can’t Renee Erickson do? Her amazing donuts are to die for and you can grab doughnuts with filling like fresh custard, sweet cream, and even homemade jam.  If that’s not enough from you, they’re made from locally sourced ingredients. And we can guarantee you’ll love the minimalistic interior.

Where: Multiple locations
Hours: Varies

The Flour Box

This delicious spot is another pop-up turned permanent. The Flour Box focuses on handmade filled brioche donuts with inventive flavors. A few recent flavors have included Thai milk tea, mango cream, and pistachio to name a few. Keep in mind they are only open for walk-up on the weekend so if you want to enjoy donuts during the week you’ll have to order ahead.

Where: 5520 Rainier Ave S
Hours: Pre-order Thursday & Friday, Public walk-in Saturday & Sunday 11 am-2 pm

Daily Dozen

We’ll cap this list with a Pike Place Market favorite, Daily Dozen. You can enjoy mini donuts straight out of the fryer and covered in cinnamon sugar. They’re an old-time Seattle fave that always tastes good and is yet another excuse to head to the market.

Where: 93 Pike St
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 9 am-3 pm, Saturday 9:30 am-3 pm, Sunday 8 am-5 pm

Well, now you have no excuse not to treat yourself to a donut. You have plenty of donuts to eat your way through our summer and we hope that you enjoy our picks. Of course, if you stop at one of these spots and have an amazing donut be sure to let us know.
