As part of the first-ever Filipino Restaurant Month, several restaurants in Calgary have been invited to participate in a delightful city-wide event held in celebration of a scene where traditional flavors and unique ingredients are at the forefront.
Presented by Philippine Department of Tourism and the Calgary Philippine Consulate General, food-lovers all over the country will be encouraged to explore Filipino cuisine tastebud-first, and Calgarians can take part by checking out one of the following restaurants between April 1st and the 30th.

“Participating restaurants will feature Filipino prix fixe menus that highlight the unique variety of Filipino food, ingredients, chefs, and restaurants throughout Canada,” the organizers said in a recent press release.
Sounds amazing, right? Well, it actually gets better.
In addition to eating well, customers will actually have a chance to win local and national prizes such as $25 vouchers and even a vacation in the Philippines – where you can continue taste-testing the foods, sauces, and drinks that have been perfected over thousands of years.
“Through our various dishes, we hope to inspire Canadians to explore Filipino foods and through cuisine, develop a better appreciation for our culture,” said Consul General Zaldy Patron.
“Filipino food is integral to the country’s diverse culture with each region having their own unique and traditional recipes that are passed on from generation to generation.”
Check it out, folks! As we said, it’s going to be a delicious month, so you won’t want to miss it.
