Ready for some late-night bites? A Filipino night market is coming to Toronto this month and it promises to be a feast like no other.

The event will have free admission and will feature dozens of delicious vendors, art installations, workshops, artisans, and live music.

This year, the theme is all about celebrating the 7,000 islands of the Philippines. These islands feature “a mix of both beautiful scenery of mountains and beaches,” says the description.

The night market will also celebrate Filipino Heritage Month.

“Nearly one million people of Filipino descent call Canada home. The Filipino-Canadian community is one of the fastest-growing communities in the country,” the description says.

“Whether you are from Bicol (Luzon), Cebu (Visayas), or Zamboanga (Mindanao), let us celebrate as a community and unite as one.”

Some of the tasty offerings at the night market include specialty dishes from the different islands of the Philippines.

Toronto’s Filipino Street Festival will take over Little Manila. filling the streets with delicious food, great music, and fun cultural experiences.

As part of the festival, a 1-km stretch of Bathurst St will be lined with food and craft vendors, lively street activities and eye-catching Filipino cultural installations.

In May, a multi-day Filipino food and culture festival was held in the city called Fiesta De Mayo.

Looks like it’ll be a fun (and delicious) summer of celebrations for Toronto’s Filipino community!
