Ready for some late-night bites? A Filipino night market is coming to Toronto this summer and it promises to be a feast like no other.

The event will be a celebration of Filipino heritage and culture with not only dozens of delicious vendors but also art installations and live music.

The night market will run in late June, which is also Filipino Heritage Month, “a month-long celebration in Canada that coincides with the June 12 Anniversary of the Philippines’ 1898 Declaration of Independence from Spain,” the event’s description says.

“Nearly one million people of Filipino descent call Canada home. The Filipino-Canadian community is one of the fastest-growing communities in the country.”

Some of the tasty offerings at the night market include specialty dishes from the different islands of the Philippines served by iSLAS Toronto, Filipino-style lechon provided by Wilson’s Haus of Lechon, premium sans rival and silvanas by Tito Parley’s, and much more.

The night market will be held at Scarborough’s Street Eats Market, which will host dozens of other themed food fests over the next several months, including a mac n’ cheese fest, taco fest, ice cream fest, burger fest, and more — you can see the event lineup here.

In July, a vibrant event showcasing the best of the Philippines is coming to North York. Toronto’s Filipino Street Festival will take over Little Manila. filling the streets with delicious food, great music, and fun cultural experiences.

As part of the festival, a 1-km stretch of Bathurst St will be lined with food and craft vendors, lively street activities and eye-catching Filipino cultural installations.

Plus, visitors can look forward to colourful and vibrant parades on both Saturday and Sunday.

Looks like it’ll be a fun (and delicious) summer of celebrations for Toronto’s Filipino community!
