Something new and exciting is coming our way, friends. Toronto’s newest emerging neighbourhood, The Well, will be home to a “mind-bending” immersive experience called Arcadia Earth.

Before we go any further, let’s back up for a second. If you haven’t heard, The Well is a shopping, dining, residential, and office district that is springing up in the downtown core.

It will be home to an indoor-outdoor shopping pavillion, a food market, a 22,000 sq ft event venue, office towers, and luxury condos.

Several of the retail tenants have already been announced at The Well — Australian eyewear store Bailey Nelson, popular fitness chain Sweat and Tonic, and Canada’s first-ever Arcadia Earth.

Arcadia Earth is a “large scale multi-sensory journey through underwater worlds, fantasy lands, and inspirational art installations,” according to its website.

The exhibition is powered by augmented reality, virtual reality, and projection mapping.

The combination of in-person and virtual effects will transport you into a surreal universe.

The mission of Arcadia Earth is to “inform, inspire, and activate” communities to positively impact the planet.

It reimagines the most pressing environmental issues of our time in breathtaking ways, showing visitors how their small everyday choices impact the future of Earth in significant ways.

The exhibition currently has three locations around the world, in New York, Miami, and Saudi Arabia.

Pretty soon, Canadians will have the opportunity to go on this unique journey right in the heart of Toronto.

The Well is set to open to the public this spring, but an official date hasn’t been announced.

Stay tuned!
