Jersey Mike’s is keeping its promise of expanding across Canada and they’re going all in for Ontario. The sub chain has announced its third new opening near Toronto and we also have an opening date.
According to an Instagram post shared by the official Canadian account, Jersey Mike’s will open in Toronto’s York Mills area.
In an email to Curiocity, Red Berry confirmed the openings of its Markham location at 8600 Woodbine Ave on August 28th and its York Mills Garden store for mid-September at 808 York Mills Rd.
“We have 4 additional stores intended to open before the end of the year in Brantford, Union Station, Guelph and Pickering,” they state.
Back in January, the sub-chain announced it had teamed up with Redberry Restaurants (think Burger King and Taco Bell brands), with a development agreement to open 300 Jersey Mike’s restaurants across Canada by 2034.

This will be a mix of Redberry-owned-and-operated stores and supported franchisee locations.
“We’re thrilled that Jersey Mike’s entrusted us with bringing their iconic brand to Canada,” said Ken Otto, CEO of Redberry, earlier this year.
“We resonated strongly with their culture, product, and mission, and are excited to ‘Make it Happen’ for both Jersey Mike’s and their Canadian fans.”
At the moment, there are two Jersey Mike’s locations in Canada – Kitchener and London, Ontario.
As for the other provinces, openings, and timelines have yet to be announced – but rest assured, it’s coming.
“In addition to building our own Jersey Mike’s, growth will be accelerated by way of supporting other franchisees to join the Jersey Mike’s story in every province across Canada,” shared Otto.
The chain’s current locations will be remodelled in early 2024 to “reflect Jersey Mike’s new image.”
Jersey Mike’s Subs is known for its fresh sliced and fresh grilled subs, currently has over 3,000 locations open and in development across the United States.
