This natural river in Ontario is known for its refreshing tubing during summer

You won’t have to travel too far to enjoy a fun water adventure near Toronto. A day trip to Elora Gorge Conservation Area is in order! Cool off this summer with a tubing adventure in the Grand River Valley. Here’s what to know.

This exciting experience is about a 1.5-hour drive outside of Toronto. Elora Gorge is a popular summertime destination, home to the Grand River which rushes past 22-metre high cliffs.

You’ll also find riverside trails and scenic overlooks with stunning views. But we definitely recommend embarking on a tubing adventure down the river.

It is a fun and exciting way to see the wonders of the Elora Gorge!

“From the rushing white water to the towering cliffs, tubing offers more than just a refreshing ride on a hot summer day,” shares the Grand River Conservation Authority – and we agree.

Be brave and tube the fast rapids or just lounge in the relaxing area of the stream. Either way, you’ll get to enjoy the gorgeous sights of the surrounding river and the beautiful cliffs above.

There are some important things to note before you take on this experience. There are no walk up sales of tubing tickets or equipment rentals so you must purchase your tickets online and in advance.

Tubing tickets and rental fees are non-refundable and non-exchangeable after the online order transaction is completed. And the conservation area day use admission fee is not included in the tubing ticket purchase so that must be paid at the gate upon entry.

Tickets for the season will be available starting June 19th.

There are some safety guidelines you should check out in advance to ensure that you’re prepared for the experience.

Now who’s ready for an adventure?
