The Rocky Mountains may be well known for its calm lakes and tranquil views, but those looking for a thrill should look no further.
Described as the “ultimate adventure,” the Mount Norquay Via Ferrata climbing experience is riveting, scenic, and above all – a ton of fun.
During this experience, participants will hang on to steel cables and climb ladders up above the world so high, all while marvelling at “the grandeur of the mountain vistas” that surround them.
The best part?
This tour has four trails for people of every skill level so you can enjoy it on your terms!
If you’re a beginner, pack a pair of hiking boots, a water bottle, a camera, and weather-appropriate clothing for the 2.5-hour Explorer journey – a course where you’ll cover 1 km of distance and 145 m of elevation gain.
Are you a little more daring?
The Ridgewater circuit has a suspension bridge, buttresses, outlooks, and will take about 4 hours to complete.
If however, you’re feeling pretty confident in your abilities and aren’t afraid of heights at all, you can also sign up for the Skyline and Summiteer tours, as well as the Summiteer – which is the most intense trail of them all.
“The Summiteer tops out at the highest point of Norquay’s via Ferrata,” they explain.
“A continuation of the Skyline route, this 6-hour adventure traverses the alpine ridge and crosses an additional three-wire suspension bridge over an impressive couloir. Be awed by the breathtaking 360-degree views of the Canadian Rockies as you enjoy a well-earned (and included) lunch on the East Summit of Mt Norquay.”
Sound exhilarating?
You can book your tour now! Heck, maybe we’ll see you out there – after all, there really is nothing like it!
