Chick-fil-A is opening 20 restaurants across Alberta & this city is first in line

We hope you’re hungry because something crispy is coming to Wild Rose Country.

After years of anticipation, foodies will soon be able to sink their teeth into an order of waffle fries and chicken strips from Chick-fil-A, but before you step on the gas, there are a few things you’ll need to know!

First and foremost, Edmonton savorers will be the first in Alberta to get a new location, but that will just be the tip of the Sunjoy half and half with ice… berg!

Following the upcoming opening of the West Edmonton Mall spot, they actually hope to open 20 additional restaurants in various cities across the Prairie province.

As for why they picked the capital? According to Karlene Rhodes, Owner and Operator of Chick-fil-A in West Edmonton Mall, it’s simple!

“Alberta is a growing province, Edmonton is a young growing city. It’s grown a lot in the last five years, and I’m excited to bring Chick-fil-A to Edmontonians,” she told Curiocity.

“It’s definitely a foodie city, people love to go to different restaurants. There are some great restaurants within Edmonton and we’re excited to bring the Chick-fil-A Hero products here – our signature sandwich and our handspun milkshakes.”

According to the company Chick-fil-A in WEM, won’t have dine-in space, but there will be, what they describe as, a “cafeteria-style food court” with tons of seating, so pull up and don’t be late!

“We have some fun stuff planned for a grand opening [in Edmonton],” Rhodes added.

“I can’t share exactly what it is, but we are definitely putting together a great grand open.”

Following this location, which is expected to open at the end of Summer 2024, they will also launch at South Edmonton Commons and on Macleod Trail in Calgary.
