Happy Sunday, everybody! We know that we’re kind of jumping the gun with our things-to-do list this week since tomorrow is Thanksgiving. But! We figured you might need some energy after a weekend of feasting on turkey.

Here are 8 things to do this week in Edmonton.

Jade Bird

Jade Bird is an authentic Americana singer. That means understated production, a powerful voice, and catchy hooks combine to create a great sound. The fun twist? She’s British.

When: Tuesday, October 15
Where: The Starlite Room
Tickets: $19

John Fogerty

Just because CCR broke up decades ago doesn’t mean you can’t hear John Fogerty’s legendary voice in person. Whether you’re hoping that he plays the classics or enjoy his new stuff, this concert is sure to please.

When: Tuesday, October 15
Where: Rogers Place
Tickets: $38.05

Edmonton FC vs. Pacific FC

The soccer season wraps up this week, so if you haven’t yet checked out a game this is your last chance to do so. A couple of beers and some pro soccer? Sounds fun to us.

When: Wednesday, October 16
Where: Clarke Field
Tickets: $18 and up

Loud Luxury

The perfect concert for avoiding the reality of fall. These guys cemented their superstardom with their 2017 hit, Body, and have been keeping up the good work ever since.

When: Wednesday, October 16
Where: Union Hall
Tickets: $30

Taste the World of Olive Oil and Vinegar

There’s a reason why Italians are so happy. Well, two. The first is pasta, and the second is olive oil. Enjoy an evening centred around the latter, complete with Italian soda pairings.

When: Wednesday, October 16
Where: Evoolution 104th Street
Cost: $35

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers have got not one, but two games this week! They’ve had one heckuva start, and we’re hoping they keep that energy up as they face off against the Flyers and the Red Wings.

When: Wednesday, October 16 and Friday, October 18
Where: Rogers Place
Cost: $65 and up

DARK

Oh, you thought we wouldn’t include all the spooky stuff going down this month? Yeah right. DARK is Fort Edmonton’s transformation into a variety of haunted houses, roving entertainment, and scare zones. Scary!

When: On throughout the weekend
Where: Fort Edmonton
Tickets: $40

Edmonton Comedy Fest

Laugh it up with both local comics and some from across North America. One stand-out name is Emo Philips, who is widely considered one of the funniest comics around.

When: Starts Wednesday, October 16
Where: Venues around Edmonton
Tickets: Vary per event

And there you have it! All of the best things to do this week in Edmonton. We feel like we need to check out an Oilers game with the start that they’ve had. What are you going to get up to?
