We’re super pleased to tell you that Edmonton has got a new zero-waste market for you to check out! Re:Plenish opened only a few days ago, and is offering shoppers an alternative to the standard shopping experience.

If you haven’t heard of zero-waste markets before, allow us to fill you in. Basically, these shops aim to help consumers reduce, or even eliminate, their ecological footprint. So, you’ll find products like bulk soaps and cleaners, reusable packaging, and bamboo cutlery here.

So far, Re:Plenish is only open during the weekends. This is to allow the owners to maintain their existing full-time jobs, but also to feel out the demand for their products. Frankly, we’re just so used to plastic packaging that it’s hard for us to wrap our heads around the concept.

But we’re going to keep trying. And a quick visit to Re:Plenish this weekend might speed up the process!

Happy shopping!
