Canadian Girl Guide Cookies are coming to Save-On-Foods stores

Via @girlguidesofcan Twitter

It’s no secret, we all love a box of girl guide cookies. In fact, we’ve been known to go through a whole box in a single sitting. That being said, with COVID-19 and self-isolation, they are a hot commodity. However, that’s about to change as Save-On-Foods is partnering with Girl Guides to sell cookies across Canada.

And while this is great for us it’s even better for girl guides. Obviously, door-to-door sales are not allowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proceeds from these cookie sales go to support their programs which give young women opportunities to cultivate confidence and life skills. So you can support the next generation of women while enjoying your favourite cookie flavours.

Currently, there are over 210,000 girl guide cookie boxes on their way to stores and could be available as early as next week. A box of cookies will cost $5 and as per usual, all proceeds will go to the girl guides. And what’s even better is that the cookies will also be available on Save-On-Foods online.

With all this mind, please don’t hoard the cookies. We’ve all seen what happens when people start hoarding and it isn’t pretty. Leave some for your fellow Canadians and remember that girl guide cookies bring joy to a lot of people. So with that, enjoy your girl guide cookies, responsibly.
