East Village’s ultimate breakfast spot is back open and better than ever

Ok, Calgary, it’s time to brace ourselves, ‘cause CHIX Eggshop has officially reopened and their menu items and cocktails are almost too amazing for us to handle.

In case you’re not familiar with them, CHIX Eggshop was created by Connie DeSousa and John Jackson, the incredible local chefs who brought us some of our all-time fave Calgary restaurants, including CHARCUT, Charbar, Rooftop Bar @Simmons, and Alley Burger and Connie & John’s Pizza. So when we say this is a must-try spot… we’re not messing around!

So, what’s CHIX Eggshop all about?

As the name suggests, CHIX Eggshop serves up a mean breakfast. But before you rule ‘em out for dinner, we’ve gotta make one thing clear. CHIX Eggshop is open from 8 AM to 8 PM and serves up some delicious all-day eats along with craft beverages and cocktails.

Their vibe is a mixture of a neighbourhood diner and a country-fried chicken spot, with counter-service only, and a retro meets chic style. So if great drinks, phenomenal quick-eats, and a cool vibe is your thing… then you’ve found your new go-to spot. And don’t worry YYC, CHIX Eggshop is on all your fave delivery apps (including Uberats, Door Dash, and Skip the Dishes) for those days when grabbin’ some delicious food from bed is more your vibe!

What’re we eating?

CHIX Eggshop is lookin’ to fill Calgarians up with Southern Fried Chicken and delicious #yolkporn worthy Two-Handed Egg Sandwiches (just the thought makes our mouth water). Their menu consists of classics we’ve come to love, made with unique flavour twists and local ingredients.

We’re talkin’ crispy chicken sandwiches with buttermilk mayo, fried crispy chicken meals, egg dishes, and even grab and go Inspired Greens salads for those fresh cravings on the go! When it comes to selection- CHIX Eggshop has thought of it all.
