New brand called ‘Kits Beach Beer’ set to launch this May

Beer lovers, it looks like you’re going to have a whole new brand to celebrate next month! We just heard about Kits Beach Beer, which is hoping to catch the area’s magic in a bottle, or, err, can. The premise is a simple one, but we have a feeling it really hits the nail on the head. Let’s check it out.

Basically, three Kits residents decided that it’s been long enough without the neighbourhood having its own beer, so they decided to do something about it. And, since one of them is also behind Kits Beach Coffee, we have a feeling that the name was a no-brainer.

The first beer they’ve decided to make is a blonde ale with a little flair. To do this, they added New Zealand hops to the brewing process, resulting in a crisp, light beer that has a hint of citrus. Yeah, that’s a pretty good companion to a warm spring day in Kitsilano, if we do say so ourselves.

The beer is planning to launch on May 21st, just ahead of the May long weekend. And while it’s not set in stone, we’re seeing Kits favourites like Colony, Chewie’s, and The Ellis on their followers page, which is usually a good sign.

So folks, keep your eyes peeled for this new beer brand set to launch next month! For more info, you can check out the Kits Beach Beer website.
