It was only a matter of time, friends. After a beautiful fall season, free of powder and sleet, Calgary’s forecast is finally calling for snow and we’ll be honest… we’re just not ready yet.

Of course, Mother Nature waits for no one, so bust out those winter tires and put away your patio furniture (if you haven’t already), because this Friday is the big day.

According to the Weather Network, October 29th will not only bring more rain but 1-3 cm of snow as well. Luckily, though it may look pretty cold outside, we won’t actually see any temperatures below zero until Sunday.

After this, Calgary will bounce back almost immediately for one more week of sun and autumn bliss, but let this be a reminder.

All good things must come to an end – and we are long overdue for some crappy weather.

Make the most of the weather we’ve got and get out there because winter is coming.
