Well, it is officially September… which means fall is just around the corner. But that won’t stop us from enjoying all the city has to offer, whether outdoors or indoors as the weather cools down. CELEBRATE ALBERTA DAY 2022
From September 1 to 3, celebrate everything that makes this province special. From live entertainment and a made-in-Alberta marketplace to beer gardens and activities for kids, there will be fun for the whole family in Edmonton! Events kick off on September 1, with fireworks and a concert with Brett Kissel on September 3.

SYMPHONY UNDER THE SKY
Ready to cap off the summer outside? Well, the Symphony Under the Sky series is
sure to be worth the effort. This ongoing concert series takes place in Hawrelak Park, where you’ll get to hear the amazing Edmonton Symphony Orchestra live. Choose your ideal show from different times, and seatings.

THE WORLD DODGEBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
If you can dodge a wrench… you can watch the World Dodgeball Championships! This weird (but completely legit) event is in Edmonton this week, and we think it’ll be well worth the price of admission to check out.

‘COME FROM AWAY’
This unforgettable musical is in Edmonton this weekend. “On September 11, 2001 the world stopped. On September 12, their stories moved us all.” This is probably the musical event of the season!

COCKTAILS AND JERK FESTIVAL
Check out the The Cocktails and Jerk Festival this weekend! Cocktails and Jerk is a “Caribbean themed food event, showcasing popular street foods and tropical cocktail beverages.” So, expect a variety of vendors, representing the best cuisine in the city, to be offering some delicious Caribbean dishes, from jerk chicken to fried plantains and more.

THE EDMONTON AFRO X LATIN FESTIVAL
For the first time outdoor, the Edmonton Afro x Latin Fest returns with another unforgettable edition! Head out, watch the sunset, enjoy the music and get ready to dance.

MURAL MASSIVE 2022
Are you ready Edmonton? Grindstone’s Mural Massive is back for its third year! Watch new large-scale murals get painted in Old Strathcona as part of this indoor/outdoor art event. The festival runs from September 3rd to the 10th at various Old Strathcona and Downtown neighborhoods, and don’t forget the late-night party happening at The Grindstone Theatre on Friday, September 9. Parts of this event are free, and others are $12+.

THE EDMONTON MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL
Running for three days straight (September 9th to 11th), EMBFest is a mixture of trail rides, concerts, hanging out, and learning what’s new in the industry! Explore a ‘Trail of Lights’ by yourself or with some pals, head to the EXPO area for lunch (and maybe even a beer), then check out the local live music showcase to cap the day off.

From September 16 to 18, Arts on the Ave and Kaleido are presenting Kaleido Family Arts Festival 2022: Heart in Living Colour! Kaleido is coming back to the Ave, “bringing light and joy and filling hearts with music, art, and acts that are a wonder to behold, and (as always) free to the community!”
