What can we say? We love to get outside, especially if it means a little bit of stargazing! The ‘Gateway to the Stars’ experience returns to Elk Island next month, and we’ve got all the details to know about it.

If you weren’t aware, Elk Island is in the heart of one of Canada’s largest ‘dark sky preserves‘. Basically, these protected areas are picture-perfect for stargazing, offering everyone from amateurs to enthusiasts the chance to see the night sky in all of its glory.

However, we’ll admit that our knowledge ends after saying ‘Yup, those things are pretty darn bright’. Luckily, that’s where the Gateway to the Stars series comes in. Starting in mid-September, you’ll be able to enjoy an after-dark campfire, as a park interpreter guides you through the various constellations and waypoints up above.

So, if you’re looking for something a little more outdoorsy to cap off the summer (of kick off the fall) with, then we couldn’t recommend this experience enough! For more information and to register, just click the link below.
