It’s no secret that Vancouver’s food scene is top-notch, characterized by its mix of culinary inspirations using fresh, local ingredients. From Asian fusion to farm-to-table restaurants, markets, and food trucks – there is no shortage of good eats in the city. Among them are those recently named by Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants of 2023, which recognizes the country’s top dining destinations with tips and info from food writers.
This year? Published on Main takes the top spot in Vancouver once again, coming in at #3 out of 100 restaurants in Canada.
Despite receiving tons of accolades, including a Michelin star, Published has maintained its neighbourhood gathering spot feel while taking its elaborate 11-course tasting menu to the next level.
Inspired by English coffee houses, the design of the restaurant is comfortable and laid-back, allowing diners to relax as they indulge in playful bites like foie-gras-and-Coca-Cola candies, roast pickerel, and beefy markklöesschen soup.

While reservations typically fill up well in advance, the restaurant always leaves spots at the bar for walk-ins, if you’re ever craving chips and smoked-fish dip and a glass of bubbly.
Alongside Published are 15 other dining establishments in Vancouver, including St. Lawrence at #6, AnnaLenna at #9, and Kissa Tanto at #10.
So there you have it, Vancouver. If you’re looking to splurge on a special occasion meal sometime soon, consider booking a reservation at Published on Main, or one of the other top restaurants in Vancouver.
