Disneyland Paris is holding auditions in Toronto and here’s how to apply

If living in Paris and working at one of the most magical places on earth sounds like a dream, we found just the job for you. Disneyland Paris is coming to Toronto in search of character and parade performers next month.

According to Disney Auditions, the Disneyland Paris team is on the hunt for parade performers and Character Look-Alike performers to join their pool of Disney and/or MARVEL universe.

Before you jump at the opportunity, there are a few things you need to know. So we put together a go-to guide to help you (hopefully) ace that audition.

Disneyland Paris auditions in Toronto

When and where are the Disneyland Paris auditions in Toronto?

For you eager performers, the auditions are being held on Sept. 13 starting at 9 a.m. at the Dance Arts Institute, at 80 Winchester St.

What roles is Disneyland Paris casting?

Disneyland Paris is looking for Character & Parade Performers (Character Look-Alikes).

Who can audition?

Anyone can audition; however, there are certain requirements. For Character and Parade Performers (Character Look-Alikes):

  • Heights for male-presenting performers must be from 5’7” to 6’3”.
    • Roles include: Aladdin, Bert, Black Panther, Captain America, Flynn Rider, Kristoff, Loki, Prince Charming, Prince Eric, Prince Phillip, Spider-Man, Prince Naveen and more.
  • Heights for female-presenting performers must be from 5’3” to 5’8″.
    • Roles include: Anna, Ariel, Belle, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Elsa, Mary Poppins, Merida, Mulan, Princess Jasmine, Princess Tiana, Rapunzel, Raya, Snow White and more.

For Character & Parade Performers who don’t necessarily need to be Character Look-Alikes:

  • Height requirements: 4’6” to 5’1” or 5’11” to 6’4”

According to Disney, candidates should be willing and able to demonstrate high energy level, a full range of motions with their bodies, and have good coordination.

“Candidates are not required to have a dance or acting background. However, candidates with these skills could be considered for roles that need dancing or acting experience,” they add.

Do you need to register before the audition?

Yes, you need to create a candidate profile online, which can be done on the Disney Careers website.

It is recommended that candidates check in online a day before the audition. If you’re unable to for whatever reason, you can do it the morning of the audition.

What should you prepare for the audition?

Now, the golden question – how to prepare!

A Disneyland Paris representative will be present at the audition between 9 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. to welcome you. Luckily, you do not need to prepare any audition material beforehand. But if you’re a giant Disney fan, you’ll know a song or two.

Be sure you’re wearing comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear like sports clothes and sneakers.

What happens if you’re selected?

If you’re selected, you will sign a contract for a minimum of six months, and it starts within a six-month period following the audition. Housing can be available.

“Successful candidates needing a VISA to work in France will be informed of the necessary application process,” reads the posting.

Now you have a month to prepare, get limber and sign up to audition.

Good luck!
